I enjoyed my homestay experience so much that several days after my return home I booked a second homestay experience with Sira! So excited to return and already counting down!

My homestay week with Sira unfolded in the most magical way. From the minute she picked me up at the local station, Sira was welcoming and attentive, plus her lovely cats Bri & Mucca greeted me with interest and loads of cuteness!
I chose to do the super intensive homestay option and from day one, Sira was keenly attuned to my needs and interests as a beginner student of Italian who wanted to learn as much as possible every day. After I dropped my luggage off in her cozy home, Sira took me right back out and we hit the ground running to explore the beautiful borgo of Montemarcello and to check-out some fascinating Roman ruins! By the end of my first day I knew I had made the right choice to invest in this experience!
Everyday was an adventure that kicked off with a personalized language lesson, followed by a full itinerary of experiential activities. Sira was adaptable, observant, and creative. She crafted every new lesson and the day’s activities based on our previous conversations and my expressed interests!
Prior to this experience I had been learning Italian in a piecemeal manner on/off for two years and had only just begun to work with a teacher a few months before my trip. Studying with Sira allowed me to weave together all the elements of my previous learning and really shored up my foundation as a beginner. This experience supported me in up-leveling my language acquisition and afterwards I felt comfortable navigating alone in Rome for a couple days before returning home.
