My week with Sira was wonderful beyond my expectations.

From the moment she picked me up at the train station until the moment she dropped me back off at the end of my week – I did not have to worry about a thing and felt instantly “at home”!
The Italian lessons started right away! Sira was so patient with my very beginner level of Italian. She adjusted each day to my level of understanding. And with all the rain we had during the week, she had to adjust the itinerary but it worked out perfectly!  From a rainy morning at the market to pesto making lessons with her friend. From a morning at the bakery to conversations over dinner, I felt a real immersion in Italian culture as well as developing a much better knowledge of Italian.
By the end of the week I could understand much spoken Italian (if spoken slowly )
I feel like I made a lot of progress and Sira’s encouragement every day helped me gain confidence.
It was a leap to go to a foreign country and spend a week in the home of someone I did not know, but I felt very comfortable from the minute I met Sira.
And the experience and knowledge gained were so fantastic! Thank you so much Sira! I had the experience of a lifetime with you! Grazie Mille!
