I just returned from a week of Homestay Italian Courses with Sira Gheller. The experience was nothing short of amazing.

Sira is truly an amazing instructor.  Not only is she exceptionally gifted, she is patient, kind, thoughtful, creative and full of energy.  The manner in which she wove our touring experiences into her lesson plans provided an opportunity to learn about Italian history and culture, and to witness its beauty while practicing Italian.
The cooking class was an absolute highlight.  I wasn’t just watching; I was doing – in Italian!  I made a fabulous fish “stew”  entirely from scratch, working side by side with one of the most highly reputed chefs in Sarzana.   We then enjoyed the dish in the restaurant’s garden, a lovely, intimate setting.
From the moment I met Sira, I knew this would be the experience of a lifetime.  The entire “course” felt incredibly personal, with lesson plans tailored to my skill level and incorporating events from the preceding day.   Sira’s passion for teaching was highly evident, as was her excitement for sharing her knowledge.  I left feeling not only inspired, but also equipped with new skills and memories I’ll cherish forever.
I cannot recommend Sira and her program highly enough.  I’ve already reserved my slot for next year!
